leaving for thailand tomorrow

my last stamp in my passport before returning to canada. i fly out at 11:15, so wish me luck. while i like being able to go new places quickly, i really don't like flying. but i have the lonely planet for thailand and i have sorta got it all figured out as to where to go in bangkok. i am always a little nervous about going to a new country, because i don't know what to expect, or how it all works. although, has time has taught me, it all seems to work out just fine. so tomorrow will be no different, i HOPE.

well, i have been busy the last few days. i went to halong bay. (cool mountains sticking out of the ocean is the best description) no polution. really quiet. i feel better. but then again i switched to erythromycin (antibiotic) 5 day supply (without a prescription) for 66 cents.

well, since i got back i have been staying with my friend eileen, who i met in laos. she is an english teacher here. man it has been GREAT to be in a real home and just hang out with people, instead of living the backpacker life. last night was girls night and her female friends came over to play cards. what a nice change from eating at a restaurant, reading a book, and then going to bed after talking to no one all evening but the girls at the desk of the guesthouse. tonight we are heading to a forgiener bar for monday night quiz night. ...going out! i can't wait to be at home, or in the netherlands and have friends again to hang out with and go out with. and not just the same old introductory conversation with a new group of backpackers.

...i stink. i have sweated and sweated so much that i well, it is just beyond glow, i swear if my clothes were thrown in a field of cows they would use it as a salt block. YUCK!!!

okay that is all i feel like going on about at this time.
